Welcome to Dayton High School!

As the principal of Dayton Junior High and High School, I am so fortunate to work with such a talented group of teachers, who strive each day to discover the brilliance inside each of our students.  We are working alongside our students to build talents and skills that will lead them into a promising future.

In Dayton we are on threshold of a new beginning.  We are reimagining education to be more purposeful,  and are empowering our students as makers and creators.  We believe that all students have creative genius and it is our responsibility to help them find it.  We know that the students of today can learn faster than they can be taught, so we are working to create a learning environment that does not put a ceiling on the student's’ potential.  We have developed partnerships with our community and industry leaders to provide a more rich and experiential learning environment by collaborating and harnessing the expertise of others.  At Dayton, we are not afraid to fail, because we know that’s where the real learning occurs.

I am starting my 26th year in education and each year I become more  inspired, challenged, excited, and hopeful.  Growing and learning alongside such a talented group of staff and students is refreshing.

It is a great time to be a Dayton Pirate!
